When it comes to sewing clothes, I haven't always had much luck. I try it here and there, but it always ends up being much harder than I thought. One garment piece that I have sewed successfully are skirts. I think skirts are a good place to start for a beginner - basically straight lines you are sewing, and they are fast to make. And who doesn't need another pretty skirt to add to their wardrobe?
Here is a great 3-part tutorial for a really cute skirt at Sew, Mama, Sew. The skirt was created by Kathie of Ramonster.
I am going to have to get through my twin pregnancy (22 weeks and counting!) before I can make this, but I look forward to sewing me a cute skirt.
